
Teagan Duffy
Teagan Ryan Duffy is currently a senior in high school at Southington High School (SHS). He has extensive experience in the engineering design process through the SHS program, Project Lead The Way. He has extensive prior knowledge in mechanical based problem solving. At SHS he is also a full time track and field athlete with two state and conference qualifications. He is also currently a Boy Scout of America, Eagle scout candidate with troop 17 in Southington, CT. Over the course of high school he has accumulated over five hundred and fifty hours of community service in both religious and nonreligious settings. His primary roles on DOC Products include researcher, prototype planning, testing methods, and presentation visual aids.
Kate O'Reilly
Kathleen Frances “Kate” O’Reilly is a senior at Southington High School. She is in her final year in the Project Lead The Way program, which, along with participating for four years on Southington High School’s robotics team, the Cyberknights, has provided her with extensive background in engineering and mechanics. She has a very strong background in mathematics due to taking advanced courses at an earlier age than did her peers. O’Reilly is a member of Southington High School’s National Honor Society, Southington High School’s Physics Bowl team, and the Women in Science and Engineering club. Some accolades that she has won include admission into the Wesleyan High School Scholar’s Program and the FIRST Robotics Dean’s List Semifinalist award. Her primary roles on DOC Products include document control, communication expert, scheduler, and prototype construction.
Sophia Chaltas
Sophia Kaitlyn Chaltas is a senior at Southington High School. She has completed rigorous coursework pertaining to the engineering design process throughout her high school career in the engineering program Project Lead The Way. She is a member of the SHS Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Team, she manages the Field Hockey team, and races on the Ski Race team. In her free time, she has dedicated more than 450 hours of service to her community. Chaltas has received the Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit in her junior year of high school. Her primary roles on DOC Products include recorder, CAD expert, data collection, and presentation planning.
